I am a 39 year old professional with a unique academic background in both pharmaceutical technology and English language and literature. Starting with a foundation in the sciences, I attended high school of pharmaceutical technology, where the structured, detail-oriented nature of pharmaceutical studies sparked a deep appreciation for critical thinking and precision. However, during this time I also developed a growing interest in language, literature, and the power of communication, realizing that the humanities offered a different kind of connection with the world. Motivated by a passion for storytelling and a desire to explore the intricacies of human expression, I made the bold decision to pivot from the sciences to the arts, pursuing a degree in English language and literature in collage. This switch reflected a deeper calling toward creativity, where writing, reading, and analyzing texts became a means to engage with culture and communicate ideas. Today, I am leveraging this diverse educational background in a new career path, shifting toward UX/UI design. This transition combines the precision of a scientific mind with the creativity fostered through literary studies. By applying both analytical and artistic skills, I aim to craft meaningful user experiences, blending technical functionality with human-centered design. My personality is constantly seeking inspiration from the world, valuing the beauty of both natural and human-made environments.
In addition to my formal studies, I actively sought out various non-formal educational opportunities, particularly in the humanities. Through these non-traditional learning experiences, I developed a deeper appreciation for the intersection of education, social justice and human behavior. One of the key aspects to this journey was my involvement with NGOs which experiences allowed me to gain practical insights into the complexities of community work and the significant impact that well-structured social initiatives can have on individuals and groups. My dedication to education and teaching naturally led me pursue a CELTA certification, a highly rewarded qualification that equipped me with the tools and methodologies needed to effectively teach English as a second language. This rigorous training provided me with a strong foundation in language teaching techniques, classroom management, and student-centered approaches, ensuring that I could engage learners of diverse backgrounds. Moreover, I became a certified Mother Schools teacher through the Women Without Borders project, a program dedicated to empowering women and fostering resilience in communities. This further enhanced my ability to work with communities, particularly focusing on the role of women as agents of change within their families and societies. This also enabled me to facilitate workshops aimed at strengthening mothers’ leadership skills, providing them with knowledge and confidence.
